On a hot vacation day in the South of France, there’s nothing more fun than cooling off at a water park. And you certainly don’t have to limit yourself to a traditional water park with swimming pools and tall slides. In Provence and along the Côte d’Azur, you’ll also find spectacular floating water parks on lakes, where children—and often their parents too—can climb, jump, slide, and scramble above the water.
We’ve put together a selection of our favorite water parks in Provence and along the Côte d’Azur, in the areas where many of our vacation homes are located. From the giant water slides at Aqualand and Wave Island to floating obstacle courses on Lac de Saint-Cassien and other beautiful spots in the region.
Some water parks are especially fun for young children, while others are better suited for older children and teens who are looking for a bit more of a challenge. That’s why we’ll tell you what to expect at each water park and who will enjoy it the most.

Aqualand Sainte-Maxime

Aqualand Fréjus is one of the larger water parks on the Côte d’Azur and is conveniently located for vacationers in the Fréjus, Saint-Raphaël, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, and Les Issambres areas.
There’s a wide variety of water slides to choose from. There are spectacular rides for older children and teens, as well as family-friendly slides and a special area for younger children. This makes it easy to spend an entire day here.

Aquasplash Antibes
Aquasplash Antibes is one of the most famous water parks in this part of the Côte d’Azur. For vacationers in the Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, and Théoule-sur-Mer areas, it’s a fun destination for a hot summer day.

Water Activities Around Fayence and Lake Saint-Cassien
Lac de Saint-Cassien Water Park
Lac de Saint-Cassien is a wonderful destination for a hot summer day, no matter what. On the lake, you’ll also find a floating water park with obstacles, slides, and all kinds of structures you can climb and balance on.

For older children and teenagers who are looking for a little more action, Drop-In Dracénie offers a completely different experience from a traditional water park.
This attraction combines a floating water course, trampolines, and spectacular Water Jumps. You’ll glide into the water along various courses, each with different difficulty levels. So you don’t have to choose the most spectacular jump right away.

Water Parks in the Luberon and Around Mont Ventoux
Aqua Base Apt
Near Apt, Aqua Base is located on the Plan d’Eau de la Riaille. On the water are large inflatable obstacle courses where children can climb, jump, and slide.
There’s also a separate area for younger children. In addition, you can rent paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats, among other things. This makes it easy to stay at the lake a little longer.

Wave Island – Monteux
Wave Island in Monteux, on the other hand, is a large, classic water park where you can easily spend a whole day. It’s conveniently located for vacationers in the areas around Mont Ventoux, Malaucène, Avignon, and the western Luberon.
In addition to all kinds of water slides, the artificial waves are especially impressive. Here, you can go surfing and bodyboarding, among other things.
